Living Room

I was asked to help this family transform an existing living/dining room into a large living room /media room for family and friends to gather, socialise and play games, as well as for enjoying movie nights together. The client was particularly concerned about making such a large room feel cosy and inviting, so enlisted my help to achieve their goals. The partition wall was also added to to separate the existing playroom, which had been previously fully open-plan. We chose soft fabrics and patterns to help the space feel cozy, as well as bringing some bold colours and a warm white on the walls and ceiling. The arch was created to add a focal point to an otherwise very large expanse of wall, giving both ends of the room its own focal point.
